Our goal is to provide clean & comfortable rooms at
reasonable rates. We are located on a three acre, well maintained property
only 5 minutes from the PEI ferry, minutes to New Glasgow and a
short walk to the deCoste Centre. There are 14
motel rooms, including 2 suites and 6 with kitchenettes. All
our rooms are equipped with bar fridges, 27 inch cable televisions,
full baths and some even have microwaves.
During the summer months, we
also have 13 cottages
with private baths and a few with kitchens or kitchenettes. These
units are ideal for those seeking economy lodging. Some of our
cottages are two bedroom units, and can accommodate as many as five
guests.
We are conveniently located
within walking distance to all
amenities/attractions, including historic Pictou, genealogy research, a
grocery store, a liquor store and a drugstore. We are the
closest motel to the PEI ferry.
We even have a complimentary
high-speed wireless internet connection (reaches most rooms).

Motel History
Our name is representative of a 100+ year old carved
stone lion sculpture on the property, which was carved by John Wilson--who carved many sculptures and
monuments throughout Canada & the US. He went on to become a
professor at Harvard University.
